TruWest® Credit Union Encourages Kids to Give a Hoot About Saving

Kids Who Open a Youth Savings Account Will Get a Free Gift!

Tempe, Ariz. – March 27, 2017 – TruWest Credit Union is celebrating financial literacy with a month-long promotion during National Credit Union Youth Month™.

From April 3, 2017 until April 30, 2017, TruWest will be giving out gift bags to every new member under the age of 18 who opens a new Youth Savings Account at a TruWest branch.1 In addition, kids who enroll in the Credit Union’s Wild About Savings program will each receive a Desi giraffe bank with the third stamp on their Wild About Savings stamp card.

The theme of the month-long event is Give a Hoot About Saving. “Owls represent wisdom, and nothing is wiser than learning to save for one’s future goals,” says TruWest Senior Vice President of Marketing Jeff Peabody. “With our fun and simple rewards program geared toward kids, we hope to teach our youngest members the benefits of saving their money, rather than spending it.”

Members are also invited to visit their nearest branch with their kids to play games and win additional prizes throughout April. Learn more about our Youth Savings Account at truwest.org/youth.
