9 Community Corner At TruWest, we love coming together as a credit union family to give back and make a TruDifference in the communities we serve. Here are a couple of ways our employees and members have put the “people helping people” philosophy into action: Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Camp Rainbow TruWest staff raised $2,500 during Jeans Week, where employees who donated $25 could wear jeans to work the last week in July. The funds went to Camp Rainbow, a camp for children who have, or have had, cancer or a chronic blood disorder. Campers have the opportunity to enjoy fun, meaningful experiences in a supportive environment full of activities, as they build lasting friendships. St. Vincent de Paul Water Drive As you know, water is in heavy demand during the summer months. So, TruWest held a water drive in partnership with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In total, 5,000 water bottles were collected at all branch locations to help hydrate our less fortunate neighbors.
