TruWest understands that unexpected expenses come up. Overdraft Privilege can help.
What is Overdraft Privilege?
Overdraft Privilege1 is a discretionary coverage that allows us to pay your items rather than returning them, should you inadvertently overdraw your checking account. This saves you the fees normally charged by merchants for items returned to them, as well as the inconvenience of a returned item. Overdraft Privilege can be added to eligible checking accounts. Members may request this service once their account has been open for 30 days or more.
TruWest offers two types of Overdraft Privilege: Standard and Complete.
What types of transactions does Standard Overdraft Privilege cover?
Keep in mind balances at an ATM or other points of inquiry will not reflect the Overdraft Privilege limit.
What types of transactions does Complete Overdraft Privilege cover?
In addition to the Standard coverage, you can opt-in to receive Complete coverage:
How much does Overdraft Privilege cost?
Consumer accounts will be charged our standard overdraft fee of $35 for each item that is paid, should you need access to the discretionary Overdraft Privilege service.
It is possible your account can become overdrawn in excess of your Overdraft Privilege limit. Accounts must be brought to a positive balance within 30 days or the Overdraft Privilege will be removed.
