7 All Things Tech Alan sees endless possibilities for technology and TruWest. “On one end you have the online-only banks,” he says, “and on the other, you have traditional branches with face-to-face transactions.” Alan believes TruWest offers the best of both worlds. “You can seek in-person counsel on an important financial decision, whether it be a mortgage or investments, and still have the ease to conduct simple, everyday transactions as you desire at a branch, via your smartphone or on your computer.” It’s no surprise, then, that TruWest will be making strong investments in mobile and online services in 2016. From a virtual branch and multiple mobile wallet payment solutions such as Apple Pay®, to the ability to apply for and manage loans via the TruWest mobile app, “There are so many great things ahead,” Alan says. You will see enhanced member education tools to assist with managing student loan debt and budgeting. “We are also excited to launch a new product for teens just starting their financial lives,” Alan announces. The credit union is eager to celebrate growth in the coming year as well. “We will identify a new location to add to our brick-and-mortar branch infrastructure,” he mentions. It, of course, will feature enhanced technology, similar to the popular Dobson & Elliot branch. “Our goal is to replicate the level of service, technology and growth in all of our branches.” “There are so many great things ahead.” You Are Our Mission Alan is resolute about TruWest’s mission: “At the end of the day, our goal is to serve you where you are, when you want to be served, and with the technology to make your lives easier—whether it’s enhancing our physical branches, improving our online offerings or expanding our mobile capability. The TruDifference will have even greater meaning in 2016!”
